I once worked with Ray Stevens on a 'live' BBC session in London around the time that he had his huge 'Everything is Beautiful' hit. Anyway it got to one part of the verse and he flubbed his words, singing:
We don't care 'bout the colour of his hair
Or the length of his skin
instead of
We don't care 'bout the length of his hair
Or the colour of his skin
The thing was, nobody noticed it at the time and it went out over the air to several million listeners. Must've gathered a few chuckles around the country, that one.
