LAKE MARY, Fla. � A father who took matters into his own hands after his daughter told him other children were harassing her has caused some troubles of his own.

James Jones, 42, is facing two misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and disturbing a school function following his tirade on a Florida school bus on Thursday.

Jones, who is out of jail on bond, admitted he is at fault for storming into the school bus, police said.

�It was a mistake. I made that mistake (and) I'm trying to pay for that. I'm worried about my daughter, that's all I'm worried about,� he said.

Jones told investigators that he was only sticking up for his daughter when other students at Greenwood Lakes Middle School were picking on her.

A surveillance video from the bus showed Jones using profane language as he threatened students who his daughter said had put open condoms on her head and hurt her by smacking her on the back of her head and twisting her ear.

�Now everybody sit down; sit down,� Jones said on the surveillance tape. �Show me which one. Show me which one.�

The video showed Jones' daughter pointing him in their direction.

�This is my daughter, and I will kill the (expletive) who fought her,� Jones said on the video.

Alonzo Brundidge, 13, said he got scared after Jones started yelling at him and his friends.

�He said he was going to (expletive) the bus driver up first, and he (then) he was going to do it to everybody else,� he said.

His mother, Aileen Brundidge, was beside herself with anger on what happened.

�I was upset to the point where I wanted to cry,� she said.

Jones said he felt bad for threatening the children, but he said there's nothing else that he could do to protect his daughter.

�I do feel bad. I do feel bad, I told you that. (But) there's nothing else I could do,� Jones said.

Officials with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office said Jones should have called them instead of scaring the students on the school bus.

Update: Some reports say that the girl has cerebral palsey.

His daughter has cerebral palsy, its not likely she could "stand up" to them.

Doesn't put him on the right but I sympathize with him. And If Ms "my little **** is bullying people" was enraged to the point she was about to cry, just imagine what the little girl was getting through.

In light of what happened to my son a week ago, I can certainly understand the rage. I am so glad that I didn't have access to the guys who assaulted Ben.

A year ago,I chose not to shoot the kid who cut me. I'm pretty sure I would have shot the guys who assaulted my son if I had caught them in the act. I'm not sure I know what I would do now if I knew who they were.

That being said, this guy was out of line.

if they had put open condoms on my daughters head and hit her i might have reacted in a similar fashion and worse. I understand the shear frustration when you cant protect your kids in school. My sister home schooled all her children (3) because of bullying at school.

While I understand it was out of line for him to threaten kids in this way I can understand what provoked him into doing it. And it is only just that a bully got bullied himself. That is true justice. And I bet he doesn't bully anyone else for quite some time.

I know exactly how he felt. Years ago when I was young I was a teacher for a few years. I was teaching 11 years olds. I had a bully in my class. He would get a group of his friends to help him surround and beat up a lone kid out in the play ground. One day I walked up behind them after they had surrounded a kid and beat him to the ground with the bully yelling at them to keep kicking him.

I spun him around and told him "You get to take the first punch at me .... then when you do I am going to beat the living daylights out of you". He looked into my eyes and realized I meant what I said. He began crying and I said "That's what it feels like to be bullied". He never did it again while he was in my class. I hate bullies.

I gave up teaching for good at the end of that year.

Thats why i could never be a teacher Nigel. The only reason why bullies exist is because they feel that no one can touch them and today more than ever before that presumption is correct and the means that are available for bullies to harm , intimidate and abuse their victims are more extensive today through mobile phones, facebook etc. This is a subject close to my heart as i have a brother with Aspergers who was bullied at school . i eventually had to take matters into my own hands after years of trying to resolve the matter through the school and endless meetings with parents,teachers etc.
