While digging looking for something else, I ran across a 30 year old cassette tape from a live concert I (we) did in 1974. I was partnered with a bass player Ray Teichman at the time and so I put together a 7 minute exerpt from that live gig. Of course the recording is poor certainly compared to today's standards anyway, but I think a kick to listen to after all these years.

I got to be 20 something again while I put it all together....ah the days of an acoustic guitar and a mic.....I miss 'em.

You'll get a real feel for the concert though, the times and my influences. It has both covers and originals on it. So if you want a hoot and care to venture a listen, it's on my current work page about half way down.

One of the things I've always done is record myself for the past 35 years. I have tapes of just about every New Years Eve since 1971.
It can be revealing and inspiring to revisit them occasionally.

Terry, what a wonderful treat to hear where the music all began for you. I especially appreciate the pure, natural & unprocessed sound of your vocals & acoustic guitar work. It appears that among your early musical influences were Dylan & Neil Young, right? I can still hear hints of these guys in your music today. Thanks for sharing. - Scott

I think I might have been wearing my underware a bit too tight in those days, judging from the pitch of my voice.

Yeah, Scott heavy Dylan and America influences really with a bit of Young (thought never a huge fan except for a few cuts of his).

That was fun listening Terry,
Reminds me of my good old days with my first band about 1950. We were doghouse, rythm guitar and I was accordion in those days when the "joint" didn't have a piano. I had a pickup mic in the top of the accordion. We had a lot of fun even if the $10.00 a night Friday and Saturday didn't get us rich.
