Give the keyboards more flash RAM! Memory is VERY cheap nowadays. Regular RAM is dirt cheap (almost literally!) and flash RAM doesn't cost much either. There's no good excuse for putting in a measely (let's face it -- it's not that much) 1 MB of user memory in a $1100 keyboard. 10 MB would be decent. 50 MB would be really nice. Even if it costs another $50....it's worth it. Floppies are good (though quite fragile)....but not nearly as good as RAM.

Side point: I think I just became a "Member" with that post....however that works. Yet in my previous posts I'm still a mere "Junior Member" -- how can I be both at once?

Amen,

Yamaha, please don't cripple your mid-level keyboards with almost no memory so you can sell your expensive keyboards. We all know that you could quadruple the PSR2000's memory for less than $5 per keyboard.

I was disappointed when I found out how little memory the PSR2000 has, but the rapidity that the PSR2000 reads floppy styles, somewhat compensated for this.

Still, it would be a dream come true if the PSR2000 had 10mb of flash memory. Then I could skip the floppy shuffle during my music programs.

I guess I'll have to wait 22 months for the PSR2100 to come out. If that keyboard doesn't have substantially more flash rom, then I'm probably going to switch brands.
