DanO I think the old Toa keyboard amps[the large one], had phantom power switch.

I just can't see any other product having this feature.. kind of interesting..

I recommended to Ketron to add Phantom Power to their keyboard line ..

An 12" Eminence speaker and a tweeter? Yikes! At least your guitar sounds will get more authentic!

150 watts, for a full range keyboard, is barely practice level unless you LIKE loads of THD.........

Phantom power is nice, but go for REAL power and get a good dynamic microphone.

The 300 watt version would be good for my use.

Rolands "top of the line" keyboard amp, the KC550 is $599.00 and 150 watts, maybe 125 watts...

180 watts and a 15" speaker........... (I've played through one - marginally OK....)

You are going to have to use a fair amount of that 150 watts to make a 12" speaker sound as deep and full as a 15"speaker at even a practice level..........

Remember, you are trying to reproduce everything from Kick Drum to high synth sounds through the same speaker AT THE SAME TIME....... this isn't a guitar you're playing!

I dunno whether it is that much of a problem. I use a 200 Watt powered cabinet with 15" speaker and horn with a live band in clubs and that copes with my keyboard so I'd say that is better than practice volume level. It depends more on how efficient the amp/speaker system is.

Well, I guess this make us all idiots for using big, powerful equipment, when a little 12" speaker can do as good a job............

I've got some 18" subwoofers that probably have no use now. Anyone need 'em? (Oh no, that's right, you're ALL using 12" guitar speakers now!)

Please don't flame me, I'm just having a little tongue in cheek fun here........... Just, buyer beware - a 12" guitar speaker is only going to sound full and deep up to a certain level (a very low level IMHO)
