Guillermo, (Willem)
Sure I did understand you and was just 'teasing' !!

As you find in the replies, the quality is poor....
I sent an email with another option. You could consider a 'loupe' (is this english ?)
(een vergrootglas) also used in electronics repairshops.

a digital lcd will give better quality than an analogue one, but is a lot more expensive...

the video out on 9000 and 9000pro is a waste of time in my opinion.

I used the PSR9000 video outputs a few times. Once at a Christmas party so people could see lyrics and sing along. Once at my kid's school to demonstrate how the kb works.
It is not high-definition tv, but it works fine for those purposes.
I don't have a Pro, but assume it is exactly the same.

Don,
I have a friend that bought a Vidio Tuner board and installed it in his PC. It has the sharpest tv pictures you'd ever wan't to look at. Any KB that has an output for vidio
would work! And I would belive it would be better than an ordinary TV. The monitor has a much finer resolotion! I do know a little about TV's, I repaired them for about 17 years. Till I became disabeled, about 11 years ago!

Guillermo, I do not own a 9000 or 9000pro
the best I can do is a 2000.
But I do believe it will work!
All the best,
Nobby
PS: By the way I'm not really a nerd either!
So I might not qualify!

Nobby,
I too own a tv-tuner card Matrox G400 Marvel and you are right, the tv images are great !

BUT : The (composite)video outputs of gameboys and keyboards cannot compete with those TV-images because graphic cards can interpollate and eliminate the refresh flickering.

The resolution of keyboard LCD-displays is about 250x150 (or a little higher) pixels and the video-output is based on this resolution and will not be more accurate. (PC's have 1280x1024 or 1024x768)

As DonM wrote : "For lyrics presentation the video-out is OK" (Karaoke)

For full-screen use I expect unsharpness.

Forget buying an RGB monitor, the video output from the PSR9000 is ONLY composite video, there's no RGB or even S-video outputs. I was surprised that in the manual, it only refers to using the video output for Karaoke lyrics, but in fact it does output the display image whatever you are doing on the 9000. A good quality composite "mono" monitor would be the best, I've used an old green screen from a BBC computer and its very nice. If your monitor can handle NTSC, then it might be a bit better at 60Hz.

Roel,
Your right! I didn't know the resolution of those LCD displays was that low. That would make a lot of difference! I stand corrected.
Thankx
Nobby
