Dev,
I sell both of these keyboards in my store and if it's synth editing you need, you will need to buy the PA80. The editing in the VA7 is very limited and must be stored in the performance mode. This means there is no locations for user sounds. The Korg PA80 has a program mode which is where you go in and edit the sound and store these in banks of user programs. The editing is like what you will find in a Pro Triton keyboard so I think you will enjoy this much more than the VA products. Also, there are only a few parameters you can tweak in the Va7 as opposed to dozens in the PA80. Recently, with price drops from Roland, the VA7 and the PA80 have been selling for the same price. With the VA7 you get 128 notes polyphony and a better acoustic piano sound, but with the PA80, better styles the possibility of a vocal harmoinzer (not on the VA), the possibility of an internal hard drive (zip in the VA) most other features (except variphraze vs PA80 Sampler) are very similar.Oops! and of course the difference of the touch screen on the VA vs buttons on the PA80!
