I talked with Yamaha today and found out the retail price for Tyros here in the USA will be $3995.00 with a MAP price of $2995.00. Product is stated as being available late this year, possibly as early as September.
I was also told that Yamaha is working on using the YSTMS50 three way speaker system as their stock speaker system. They will have to have the color changed to match the Tyros keyboard.

that is the speaker system for the tyros. It is silver to match, and they have taken the controls off the satellite speakers, which have a bracket on the keyboard to either face the performer or the audience. The sub-woofer will have to be included in the package because without it the sound is bound to be poor. But pricing and the exact makeup of the package has not been decided here yet. They are also promising soon....

Where can I get info on this keyboard and its capabilities??

They've been promising soon for quite a while. I'm still mad at them. That thing would have to be twice as good as anything else around for me to buy it.
They showed it at the last NAMM Show and it's still not ready for the Summer one. It may be here in time for the next one.
Of course it will be a Beta model for us to test.
Do I sound disenchanted? I just have a long memory.
