Phil, what is a SVQ file?
Is that the Roland XP80 sequence format?

Yep, it's the Roland XP series format for sound and song. I can save the song as a midi, and play it on WMP, but it doesnt play as the sound I want it to have.

BTW, my new Roland XP-60 is awesome! Ill have a reveiw for it in about a week or so once ive dug my nails into it a little more.

Thanks,

Phil

Phil,
I think the XP60 offers the option of saving songs in SMF, no?

Dave,

Kinda, I can save it as SMF-0 and SMF-1. But the file type is midi. When I play it on the computer ill need it to have sounds with it too.

Thanks,

Phil

If you save it as a MIDI file, you could send the MIDI data from your computer to your XP-60 via MIDI cables. The ROland XP-60 will create the "sound".
Not sure why you would want the MIDI data AND the sound.
