Last Saterday I bought a Yamaha PSR 2000. The posts I read on this forum helped me a lot in deciding which keyboard is right for me. Thanks a lot to all you guys!

Thus far, I have a lot of fun with the keyboard. I have one small question though. There are a lot of (really) minor scratches on my unit near almost all of the buttons. You can only see them when the light falls on the board in a certain way. It seems like some test unit or something was on there and left those minor scratches behind. I can live with it because the keyboard sounds even better than in the store, however, I was wondering wether this is normal or not?

Thanks again and greetings from Amsterdam!

Boldus...
Congratulations on getting the PSR 2000. It is a super sounding, easy to operate (once you get the hang of it) keyboard.

Did you get it at a "scratch and dent" price? A new, right out of the box KB should not have any blemishes. The PSR 2000 may show a little more wear with use than some others in that the plastic housing is simply spray painted the silver color. I have been using mine professionally for over a year and some of the cosmetics are showing wear from constant use.

The quality of construction issue has been covered here several times...but if you handle with due care...you should not have any problems with it.

Boldus,
Congratulations on getting the 2000! A really wonderful machine and listed several times on this list as the biggest bang for the bucks.

I too purchased a floor model but it was in like new shape when I recieved it. I just checked but didn't see any scratches anywhere. I have cats so I'm used to seeing them all over the house and furniture.

It is a great keyboard and I think you will have a good time with it. I got mine in August. I try to play on it every day. I am still learning new things related to all of the functions.

Enjoy, and welcome!
