I have a bit of a curious question on polyphony. OK

If I had a 32 note polyphony keyboard, I decided to use it as a controller ie midied it to a 128 note polyphony sound module, would the sound module cut out , once I reached the 32 note limit ( that the keyboards capable of producing) , or would I get up to the full 128 note polyphony the the sound modules capable of?

Rikki. No.The polyphony is the sound engine not the physical transmitting of the keys..If you use 32 on the keyboard you will still have the remaining of the midi'd instrument..

Fran's right. When you're using the board as a controller that's all it is. The 32 note that applies to the board is cancelled and your poly is determined by your sound source module/ect. The board just provides the keys.

I was hoping that was the case. Good to know my dgx with it's 32 note polyphony should be able to give me 128 note note polyphony via my Hypercanvas.
