I have to say I've read about how bad the yammie drums are.. always thought the drums where the best in arrangers! They are the best... I was listening to some original tunes I've done in the past and this one hit me... Let me know what board would have done this better...

Thanks for sharing. I believe Yamaha drums are great - maybe not as real as other boards, but good enough for my use. A far cry from the Hammond Auto-Vari box I used at times for hours per night

Yamaha has the best drums that Yamaha makes!

(Man, this fence is uncomfortable!)

Roland drum sounds can be good, but only if they're the same as something different from those other kinds.

I don't recall I've ever said they were bad...

Just not as good as some others. With sample ROM as cheap as it is now, it's hard to find ANYTHING that sounds 'bad'!

Now, if Yamaha started putting the same sounds and kits from their DTX drum products into their arrangers (like Roland do with their very popular V-Drums line), I'm pretty sure you would be able to rave even MORE about how good the drums are!

Anything that passes muster with REAL drummers is usually the thing to shoot for, if you are after realistic drums, at least...

But reality isn't all it's cracked up to be...
