Star,
You can add a lot to any voice with digital effects--but in most instances, if you cannot carry a tuna in a five-gallon bucket there's no synth in the world that will make you sound like Donny or Sinatra. For those that have a relatively good voice, the sysths can transform that good voice quality into incredible.
In some instances, I suggested to some wannabe vocalist that they head for the nearest community college and take voice lessons. The courses are usually well taught by professionals who not only teach you voice control, but additionally they can expand your vocal range, teach you how to correctly breathe while singing, show you techniquest that help you improve your timing and keep you on key. All that for about $100--it's a real bargain!

Hi I actually listened to some of the demo's on the Discover 5 ( online), and the one that really amazed me was where the fellow actually spoke the words and the harmonizer and it converted it into singing. I don't use the harmonizer on my 9000pro, because I CAN't sing, but I haven't come across this particular function on my 9kpro. It would be really interesting to know if any of the other harmonizers have this feature ie convert spoken word into song. best wishes Rikki Originally posted by Starkeeper: I have never heard or used a vocal harmonizer, such as the harmonizer on the PSR2000/2100. What can these harmonizers do? I was surprised that some here were not impressed with the harmonizer on the Discover 5. I was impressed by the demo. You can change your voice from female to male and vice versa, sound like the Back Street Boys, etc. Can the PSR2100 do this? Can the Digitech do this as well? What are their capabilities? Can you have 1 female harmonizer, 1 male harmonizer, 1 male & 1 female, a group of 3,etc.? Starkeeper
