IMHO the Yamaha Grand Piano is one of the finest instruments made. I sold them in the early 70's and I'm the proud owner of the C 3 which is the 6'1" conservatory grand. I've had it for 21 years and it sounds incredible. Thanks to a generous donation, we've just purchased a C 3 at the church where I am the music director. As for Yamaha electronics, I've also been a fan of the Clavinova for a long time. If they didn't weigh a ton, I'd carry one around. As for arrangers, I use a Roland G 1000, and a Ketron Midjay. I've been looking at a PSR 3000 after conversations with Gary and watching Helmut Licht using his.

Toys, toys and more toys,

Joe

Hi Joe,
I had a 5'6"?? Yamaha Baby Grand for about 20 years. It was a beautiful instrument.
To me the most amazing piano I ever owned was a Yamaha Disklavier Piano upright , (the baby grand version was way beyond our budget). First saw it round about 1988/99 ??at the Sydney Music Show. Couldn't beleive my eyes, an acousic piano with midi capabilities. A player piano without music rolls, instead it used floppy disks, could also record a performance & be midied to computers/synths & keyboards. It was awesome.
Unfortunately both had to go when we moved, i've now got Clavinova CLP170, but it's still not quite the same as the real thing.
best wishes
Rikki
Donny, thanks for the trip down memory lane.
