Playing LH bass lines with RH playing full chords along to an electronic drum machine has been a popular acoustic piano playing style ever since the advent of the drum machine (1970's). It only makes logical sense for Yamaha to now finally join the other arranger kb manufacterers (Korg etc) by including FULL auto accomp (albeit muting bass & piano parts) to the mix which would allow you to play LH bass & RH chords, with further enhancement of auto accomp strings, horn/guitar fills, etc.

I hope Yamaha will seriously consider adding this feature on their NEXT arranger keyboard model.

the keyboard is played in pianist mode so the entire keyboard is effectively scanned to recognise the chord that is being played.

I can't believe that RH chord recognition is not available on Yamaha arrangers. Even my dinosaur Korgi30 recognizes RH chording.

Does the Yahama chord recognition work in Full Keyboard mode? I play 95% full keyboard mode.

I split the board for voice or horn licks in the sync stop mode like for Ray Charles "Smack Dab In The Middle"

So, Spalding...I CAN actually split the keyboard, assign different sounds to each side, but still be in "full mode" to trigger arranger functions? My technics KN2000/3000 do not do that as far as I know!

Sync-stop on the Korg i30 is for when there is a break with maybe the whole band hitting a note or a chord on the first beat of a measure, or the first and third beat with out the rhythm (style) playing. Such as the first 4 bars of "Don't Step On My Blue Swede Shoes," "Smack Dab In The Middle"

If you play in full kb mode, with the kb split, you will get a lot orf weird inversions to your chords whenever the bass note is not the root of the chord.
I can't imagine using full arranger mode with split kb sounds, if the LH sound is a moving bass line.

i have just tried it Uncle dave playing a gospel walking bass and it sounds fine so long as i hold the chord in my right hand. I am am playing mostly major 7ths and minors. Just tried Amazing Grace in a bluesy type jazz style. Seems ok

I don't understand the full keyboard split concept. If I play full keyboard it is all piano, Guitar or whatever sound I'm using. I thought after using split it wasn't full keyboard anymore. Help me out here someone.

I use a lot of half diminished chords which are the same notes as a minor chord with the 6th added, I use tons of flated ninths, raised ninths, flated fifth or raised fourth whatever you want to call it so on and so forth and it doesn't mess up the korg or I'd hear it. Take my word for it.
