It's all about mechanics.. The more weight the more stable it is.
I have no experience with the roland(yet), but I use a quicklock version (which is contra designed though but based on same concept) since years in my home playing ground which supports three heavy boards above each other.
1. Kurzweil K2600
2. Roland G 800
3. Mini moog
The roland is better for live gigs I think as its a faster set up and you have room in the centre for some pedals.
I think I buy one for the vr760 I mostly use live.
