Thanks Scott...

I have a job tomorrow where I can experiment too I'll put my Stagepass speakers as you described and see how it sounds. If good, I'll pursue the powered monitors. Tired.......off to bed now...

Zuki,

This may serve your purposes. Only weighs 6-pounds and folds up.

Good Luck,

Gary

The stands are just enough height to ruin your bass response..

don't understand what you mean by dull. if you're a dull performer 2 speakers won't make you sound lively, and if you're an exciting performer 1 speaker won't be any less exciting. that's life..if what you sound like comes out of one speaker with clarity and richness, one more speaker adds nothing to that except giving you "bigness" which is meaningless musically. if fact it is detrimental in most cases. but you have to have the courage to try it to be convinced. if you don't think you sound good enough but a sound system will make you sound better, you ar mistaken.

Fran,

He's not performing to a bunch of drunks in a niteclub setting--he's doing nursing homes, assisted living centers, retirement communities, etc.. They don't need gut thumping bass and lots of booze to make them feel good. And, you can still use a sub if you need to blow the windows out of the place.

Like Scott, I use the JBL Eon10 G2's on the ground tilted up. Great sound.

For more prestigious and lucrative gigs and for larger rooms, I use poles.

"great sound" is not good enough for lucrative prestigious gigs? is having them on poles more impressive looking ya think?
