Those of you who've been here awhile know I've had my ups & downs (mostly downs,
) with Roland, but this "cool blue unit" flat-out ROCKS! I don't do rave, or dance, or techno, or any of that groovesynth stuff - I bought mine because A) it's the lowest-priced synth in it's class with 64 voices AND knobs, and B) the keys themselves have a really nice feel. The sounds as supplied are good for all that dance stuff; I can't use them for what I do, but by crackey I sure can edit them into cool tones, and there are 256 User locations. Besides, having all that groove stuff in there is nice when my muse is on vacation. Not only that, but the manual is SUPERB. They've finally gotten a clue at Roland. I like mine a lot; you can probably tell.
