Well if there were to be a Tyros 2 module it does not even have to have everything that the keyboard version of the T2 has.
It could be a scale down version of the T2, eliminating some things like the internet connectivity, maybe have just one USB port, maybe even half the styles.
But keep the features a gigging professional would need. Make sure it is light (a rack module not a desk top module) and price it at or below $1500.
See if Yamaha were smart they would use the sound innovations of the Tyros 2, and the increasing popularity/awareness of T2 and arrangers in general to get further in to the mainstream professional music market so that they would buy some sort of a T2.
A gigging musician who may have a workstation from one of the big 3 Yamaha, Korg or Roland, may not necessary go and buy a T2 keyboard but if it is in a module form and strategically priced, they would be more inclined to get it. They did it with their Motif. And with Yamaha’s willingness to market, people would hear about it.
It should be geared for the gigging professional musician (the ones who probably have some type of workstation and are not lazy to do the necessary preparation and keyboard programming for a gig) so the styles, sounds and effects must be fully editable.
The good thing about this is that they would not loose any customers because those who want everything setup for them in one keyboard will get the Tyros 2 full keyboard version.
