Actually I believe that the MC505 would be much better to get than the JX305. My reasoning for this is yes, the MC303 is basically a toy, but the 505 is the real deal. It has no real problems and is everything you could basically want in a groovebox. Its major plus over the JX305 is its mixer section...the sliders on that thing are so nice and convienient. The 505 as far as sound is concerned is identical to the 305, except the 305 has a few added patches that basically are useless. This is just my opinion. I don't own a 505 but have played with one at least a dozen times at a local shop. Hehe, I'm probably going to buy one of those boxes someday too, they are just so fun. Cheers, good luck.
