i decided i should let it go.
i had a buyer who gave me a good price and since i didn't need a full-featured arranger so much lately, it would be a pitty to loose the chance.
i might buy a GW8, as it is the closest thing to the E60, and is not so expensive. i'll use it more in connection with my computer and software programs i have installed, but also i can perform live when needed.
so, sad day today.
tomorrow might be better!

You'll get over it adimatis. It's only a keyboard you know. As you pointed out the GW-8 costs less but also it has more WAV ROM too. Minus 15 keys though of course.

Cheer up! Get excited out the musical opportunities that await you! There are many avenues you could explore in the mean time during this transition with you not having a keyboard. If you need to take your time sorting through them, you might want to start putting money aside for a future investment on what you eventually decide on.

All the best, Mike

E60 is a great keyboard.
my philosophy is to change the keyboards every second year or so. this way they don't loose their value too much, and you can easily find a buyer.
i agree there are keyboards that are worthy to keep longer, but i did not own any of these.
so, do not feel any way strange. keep your E60 as long as you feel like it, and use it for making great music!

My philosophy is nearly the same, only I change about every three years, or roughly with each new model.

I lose very little, and dividing the loss over a period of three years, it is just small change...most people spend far more on their hobbies or leisure activities.

Because I gig, the instrument pays for itself very quickly.

Staying with a certain brand is that you learn a common OS and when you do decide to upgrade to a newer model, there is a much smaller learning curve.

I would say I use 100% of my arrangers...mostly because it is part of my job to know it in depth, but also I enjoy digging in to it's capabilities.

You will find having a new instrument will give you a boost...I know it does for me.

Good luck.

Ian

I kept my G1000 for about ten years, kept it pristine, and got over half of what I payed for it back when I sold it. Not too shabby

The trick is to not buy a POS that will lose it's value that much the instant even an incremental change model comes out Choose wisely, and after a few generations, people come to realize which WERE the better keyboards of their day... I might not have got as much for the G1000 the day the VA7 came out. But after a few years of realizing that newer isn't NECESSARILY better, I think it's a lot easier to get good value for a G1000 now.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if this happens for my G70 as well.

Hi BBBB...Brian

Gee, Don't Get paranoid about You E-60 at all! It's a Pretty Nice Arranger. I love the 76 Keys and the Sleek light weight quality build of the Keyboard.

I Have Decided to Sell All My Keyboards at this time. I have a Major Home renovation going on with My Home (I'm doing 80% of the Work). My Music Room is Gone until the New one is completed. I started Putting Keyboards in My Wifes New Home Business Office. That Simply is not Going to work out. She will need the room for Clients seating,etc....

Most of All, I Don't have ANY or Very little time for My music for 6-12 months. I work a Full Time job Also.

When the House Project is Finished and I have My New Music Room then I'll regroup. I do know This, My main Keyboard Arranger will be 76 keys....I May Think about The Korg PA-588 Piano for My Wife.

I look Forward to going into My Music Room with nothing on My mind and Just Playing Music...Improvising,creating,Having Fun with it!....Improving,Improving,Improving Too...Plus I love Keyboards!

Have a Great Day....Harold

I sold my E60 to Harold and as Donny said, it a great compromise board. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, but once you have it you start looking at other possibilities. I went back to the G70 and always have second thoughts about that.
