I remember a favorite of mine was the
Easy Eight card...eight styles, and, almost every style was usable, and not one was overdone...simple, but effective.
It was quite a bit of money for styles, and most cards only had
four styles...the Easy Eight was a bargain.
That's why I ended up getting the
Super Card...only to find out, Roland was switching to floppy discs.
The old QY series...great little rigs...I remember using one (a QY20) on a plane and the young lady next to me couldn't believe what it would do....it was in a little case the size of a VHF video tape...certainly a great conversation piece.
For use at home, or in a hotel room, I had the Novation MM10 keyboard which let you slot the QY20 (or QY10) into a space in the top and allowed you to use
real keys, plus it streamlined some of the operations a swell.
I just like to see Yamaha come out with an S910 as a module, but, I don't hold much hope for it.
