Hey guys I just wanted to post that I fell in love again with my G70 you know it's Keybed best of all arrangers to date and sounds are still as full as anything out there I used my Tyros 4 and my G70 as a combo yesterday and Again relly find that as a great combo of sounds Roland with there sound and yamaha with there sound work very well .
just that the G70 is hevey but after I get over that playing it's keybed for piano and organ and combi piano and strings just sounds and feel great, now this being said if Roland steps up and Intros a new unit I am in , Tyros 4 piano and organ patches lead something to be improved upon and Roland still has them beat much thicker sound esp in a live situation . your thoughts ?

Nice to see someone reacquaint themselves with older gear. I agree the G-70 is still a formidable arranger, despite it's age.
However, compared to Yamaha's and Korg's latest offerings, G-70's piano and organ (and drums) are really the only standouts (in my opinion), and Roland is in dire need of a new TOTL arranger based on their latest SuperNatural technology, as in the Jupiter-80.
I must say, after many months, I'm still on the honeymoon with my Yamaha Tyros4, and I am still getting a natch playing the SA/SA2 instruments, as well as the fantastic mega (and now, SA/SA2) voiced styles.
We all have a sound we like to hear coming from our speakers, and it's a very personal choice...I'm happy to say the Yamaha Tyros4 does it for me in spades.
It's nice to see the old G-70 still has it's dedicated users and fans...I hope I feel the same way about the T4 in as many years.

I thought about adding the BK-7M to my rig, when I still was using the S910 and P-85 (I planned to control it with the latter), so I could have some the Roland sounds/styles, but it was just too much of pain to bother with...it is an absolutely horrid piece of gear, although, I must admit, it sounds great (even better than G-70) and the styles were pretty good as well, but, I can understand why so many returned the instrument. Thankfully I got a great deal on the Tyros4 so things worked out for the best. Life is good. Ian

I was expecting it to work with a digital piano, much like the excellent RA-series (of which I owned several), but, it's certainly not designed for that use.
Yes, it is primarily for accordions and controllers, but it is a shame that something that could have been so useful to those who wanted a fresher sounding Roland arranger, ends up being of relatively limited use.
It would have been a perfect addition to a Roland FP piano, or even the V-Piano, but neither of those instruments would provide enough control to make it worthwhile.
So close...and yet so far!
