On a side note....this confirmed... a smart move to keep the Micro..

Last night, after taking 2 of my grandsons to dinner...My grandsons , ages 10 and 13, played with the Micro for about an hour....the 13 year old, does play piano and sax..the ten year old is just starting guitar and drums...

What better instrument to keep at home or on the go than the Micro...enough features and quality to keep me happy, and cheap enough to allow the "musical" grandchildren access to playing it...

I have my youngest grandaughter (8) just starting piano lessons....

Besides the MediaStation has a learning curve that most folks on SZ could not get a handle ......let alone.. my kiddies... smile

I love this place...more turns than the Nürburgring circuit...Ha Ha!

Now, back to my trusty Tyros4 with delightful FSX action, and normal sized keys.

Bravo Yamaha...keep them this way...PLEASE!!!

Well, if they would have added those keys, the KMA would have given both T4 and PA3X a run for their money.... Cant imagine anyone spending $4000 dollar on an arranger if they can have almost the same for $500.

(Sorry Ian, but i could not resist the urge)

Almost the same?

Ha ha!

Thankfully we don't hear things with the same ears.

The KMA sounds okay for 10 year old technology, but, one would be silly to even try and compare it to a slinky PA3X, let alone the mighty Tyros4.

But, there will be those who dare.

Donny's terrific demos have sold more microArrangers than anything else said on this forum.

And now, he's selling it?

I guess his work was finished, and his mission accomplished.

Bravo Donny! You are my hero!

You have really earned your title, "The King of SZ"...you have made a lot of people on SZ very happy!

Maybe Korg or Yamaha will have me at NAMM next year demoing some arrangers..... dancers I've been offered Demo jobs in years past by a few Music stores & companies no longer in business....just didn't have the time to devote to it with a busy gig schedule...I have done arranger appreciation shows also at libraries, clubs, etc.. I would love to show off the features of arranger KB's to people maybe in my later years..?.. wink smile

Well, you have my vote, Donny.

I know several people that became very interested in the KMA because of your demos, but, unfortunately most were put off by the baby keys...however, the latter may look into a PA-50SD, especially if they can enhance it with John Smies allegedly excellent programs.

Demoing/clinician work is very personally rewarding (financially as well), but remember, you must know the instrument inside out because there will be questions.

But, I'm sure you could handle it.

The world is your oyster.
