Join Rich Formidoni (Korg USA) in the studio for an in-depth look at
how you can quickly use the microARRANGER to transform
basic chord progressions into a complete arrangement
with the backing band of your choice:

Very cool. Anyone know how to name the song and save it?

Thanks!

I hope more tutorials like this are made. Unfortunately I HATE reading manuals.

Hi Scott,
it's great they're giving you some tutorials.
Only thing it doesn't allow for is if you've used an intro/ending in your sequence. Regrettably all intro's /endings aren't the same length between the styles.

Don't know if it's an option on the KMA, but in the PA800, you have a drop down menu in step record mode ( that's the mode where he changed the variations & style etc) where you can actually delete or add measures. So for instance, if you recorded your backing track with an intro that was just say, 4 bars long, & then you decided on a different style for your backing, but the intro was only 2 bars long, you can literally CUT out those 2 bars from the original backing track recording.
Saves redoing the whole thing. Might be an option on the KMA also??

It's a great system, the fact that you can go back , Edit a Chord, add a fill, try a different variation, try a different style, without having to rerecord the whole thing.
Again, don't know if it's possible in the KMA, but in the PA800, once you record your backing track, you go to full sequencer mode ( multitrack mode ), & you can record additional tracks to your backing sequence..

Yes you can.Once you have the song (backing seq mod},The whole song can be edited ,add additonal tracks, save it as SMF.( It's a feature since I3 and all the value models like pa50 also have it.

Scott:

Thanks for sharing that video. Impressive. I'm gonna take another look at this cute little Korg rascal. In the Guitar Center Keyboard Room the thing was mounted on a wall and was too high from the floor to give it a real test drive.

The first thing I noticed was the small size of the keys but, since I don't perform (songwriting and recording only) that is not a serious factor. I don't do "tracks" and simply record a song until I like what I hear. Having the ability to "edit" certain chords or parts of a song, without being required to do the whole thing over again would be a real time and patience saver... LOL!

Thanks again,

Dave Rice
