3 days of having them, no opinion, Frank?

Or are they coming in one door and going out the other?!

Many of the internet demos are quite good and there are also several videos explaining the various features and functions. I'm surprised they're showing up at retailers in the U.S. so quickly. Korg gave a timeline of roughly around the 1st of September for the U.S. market so I guess production is running ahead of schedule.

Frank is providing a wonderful service in that he is able to get new products in stock that other dealers can only dream about getting. For instance Guitar Center and Sweetwater don't even list the PA900 on their websites. People that don't have issues buying 'sight unseen' are at a great advantage because they get to experience new ground breaking product(s) in some cases weeks and possibly months ahead of everyone else.

Albeit I am one of those people that like to try before I buy so I'll probably end up waiting until they show up at my local dealer. I'd hate to buy one from Frank and then end up sending it back if it didn't meet my expectations. I'm guessing it will indeed meet my expectations but I want to try it out first before I fork over $2,000. Shipping costs to return it are an additional headache. These decisions are not made lightly but I congratulate every synthzone forum member (and others) who don't mind purchasing a keyboard sight unseen. Frank also thanks you. wink I hope you sell a boatload Frank! You're providing a valuable service to your customers and you and George Kaye of Kaye's Music Scene are the best! Keep up the good work!

PS: The PA900 has a similar color scheme around the button and knobs area that the PSR-s950 has. Which concerns me quite a bit because the PSR-s950, as we know, can be really difficult to navigate in low-light situations without an additional light source. I'm hoping the PA900 doesn't have that same peculiar anamoly that afflicts the PSR-s950/750. Somebody who already has the PA900 might be able to shed some light on the subject. No pun intended by the way.

All the best, Mike

I haven't turned off the lights yet, but with this TV sized screen - there should be plenty of light for the buttons you push the most. A lot of the actions take place right on the screen, which I'm sure is the way of the future. Thankfully, Korg gives you some hard button doubles for those who still like to feel plastic beneath their fingertips!
BTW - Sweetwater got my 900 the same day that Frankie posted that he got his. Just sayin...

Mike,
I will have my PA900's next week. Luckily for Frank, he is closer to New York and therefore gets KORG keyboards before we do in California. I used to get Yamaha keyboards sooner than anyone else because they used to ship all their products out of Buena Park, Ca. Now Yamaha ships out of Michigan and so we both get them at just about the same time.

Unfortunately I have not been able to open a single one, they all have sold.

I did hold off a day before posting I had my 900s. just to take care of customers that had paid extra for special delivery options. I doubt they shipped from New York we would get them the same day. They probably saw the shipping info and put it on their website that they got them in, knowing they would land a day or 2 later.

I am very lucky to have some very loyal customers, I received a dozen PA900s, the first 4 had labels already and didn't even make it off the delivery truck.

the next 4 where loyal synthzone customers that I had shipped out the next day.

The last 4 where believe it or not, yamaha forum guys that called and shipped out the following day.

Once again I want to thank my customers, some who have become really close friends. You know who you are.

I have another dozen coming to me, so hopefully I will be able to atleast play one for a little before they ship out too.

Thanks again
