Don't know if you read my post about stuff for sale but I have a Quil Lok 695 ( no longer made but info is on the web ) for sale. I have three so one is for sale. You can use it for one to three tiers w/or without mic boom attachment. Tiers and boom are removable very easily, no tools needed. Room for pedals etc. underneath. Legs and tiers fold flat so you just haul the whole thing out in one piece. About 20 lbs. I lay it on its side in my Ford Edge and stand it up with a bungie on my R&R cart.

Quick Lock was still in business as of a week ago, Donny. I don't believe anything has changed since then. http://www.quiklok.com/home.php

Over the years I've had lots of stands, including the Apex, which was very lightweight, but if you stored it disassembled in the bag, it took 20 minutes to set up. Now, DonM kept his assembled, which made sense, but the assembled stand measured about 4 X 5 feet when using two tiers and was a bit difficult to transport on the Rock And Roller cart in that fashion.

My setup time with the QL742 is about 10 seconds, including the time it takes to put the top-tier arms in place. However, it weighs about twice as much as the aluminum Apex stand, tipping the scales at 20 pounds. When it gets to the point where 20 pounds is too much for me to lift, I'll have to get out of this business. My stand folds perfectly flat, easily stores in the van, and takes up very little space.

I sold my Apex stand to a guy in New York several years ago for $100 and it had three tiers. He was a home player and said it was perfect for him at home, but he would never consider it for performing out because of the assembly time.

thanks

The 2nd video got me thinking, and then testing. Having the keybed sloping down from you, actually feels much more naturall and gives some relieve to your wrists while playng long sessions..

I think it might be a winner

I will bring it. Hopefully it will be one less thing I bring home.

That's the best part of it. I can fit a whole footlocker under my keyboards. It's beyond me how anyone uses foot pedals with any other stand!

Bonus....that stand is so versatile you can have 1-2 keyboards in "playing" reach directly in front of you on 2 tiers and still have room on a 3rd tier for an Arthur Godfrey lunch box and a case of beer.

Extra bonus: I added (from various USS parts) a 2nd tier stand on my right side (attached to the front stand) for a 3rd keyboard. It consisted of only 3 more pieces....1 tier (attaching directly to the right side A-frame and 1 T-stand holding up the other end of the (right side) tier.

Total setup time: well under 5 minutes
Total weight: probably about 5 pounds.
Total ease of use: 100%

I couldn't begin to guess why USS stopped making these units when Jasper is still selling them in Germany......

I still have my A-frame USS stand plus an additional longer main bar. As a two-tier unit I started putting the upper crossbar on the back angle bars and that gave the upper keyboard a little setback and, for me, made it seem a little more like an organ.
