Quick Lock was still in business as of a week ago, Donny. I don't believe anything has changed since then.
http://www.quiklok.com/home.php Over the years I've had lots of stands, including the Apex, which was very lightweight, but if you stored it disassembled in the bag, it took 20 minutes to set up. Now, DonM kept his assembled, which made sense, but the assembled stand measured about 4 X 5 feet when using two tiers and was a bit difficult to transport on the Rock And Roller cart in that fashion.
My setup time with the QL742 is about 10 seconds, including the time it takes to put the top-tier arms in place. However, it weighs about twice as much as the aluminum Apex stand, tipping the scales at 20 pounds. When it gets to the point where 20 pounds is too much for me to lift, I'll have to get out of this business. My stand folds perfectly flat, easily stores in the van, and takes up very little space.
I sold my Apex stand to a guy in New York several years ago for $100 and it had three tiers. He was a home player and said it was perfect for him at home, but he would never consider it for performing out because of the assembly time.
