Your PA800 can be used as a controller, although it will not be as flexible as a master controller.
If the PA800 has a USB B connection to allow connection to a computer A connection, then plug a USB lead into the computer and see if it shows up in the sound devices as a Midi device, if it does than you are good to go. (Just remember that Midi only transmits and Receives data, not audio, which will require another lead from the sound card output of you computer into your PA800)
If USB doesn’t work, you can pick up a USB to Midi cable quite cheaply.
After that it’s down to reading the instruction manual for the PA800 and VST to get them to communicate. A good guide toe Midi can be found
