John I have had the vArranger for several years and sound wise, even using the SD2 module, it sounds better than many. I think the SD2 is still the best except VSTi's that can be loaded instead.
Since I know you have an excellent ear, I wonder what you listened to.
Just my opinion, but a good one nonetheless.

I didn't express it very well, but my point is that vArranger is not deficient to most keyboards in sound. The old SD2 is good, and it goes up from there.
