From my experience, one is more than sufficient. The B2 has an incredible low end frequency response, and the speaker design is such that on very low frequencies, the travel distance of the cone is far more than any sub I've seen in the past. Consequently, it would be very easy to overpower the audience with sub if you were using a pair of them. Kinda like when you pull up next to a bunch of kids in a car and the thump can be heard a block away. No one needs that much bass. Good luck, Gary
