Hi Chris,

I use Technote brand 4 bank and 2 singles. The 2 singles are mounted on a Technote Expression Pedal. (Kick right = Techni-cord Kick Left = Glide) I stared playing with organ and set up this system.
The four bank: 1=Fill two, 2=Panel Up, 3=Panel Down and 4=Fill one.

The 7000 offers many posibilies for use of the foot switch.

Hi Chris

It sounds like you are speaking of a pedal board rather than a controller.

The PK7 has always been a quality board for 20 pedals. I have used the Fatar here for years.http://www.studiologic.net/mp-113.html

The Fatar is only 13 pedals, and the quality is not as good as Roland's, as far as sturdiness is conscerned. However, it only cost me $375 twenty years ago.

Setup is easy. Move the switch by the midi sockets to bass. To fine tune it, so to program menu/sound/part setting/lefthand part/scroll down to bass pedal. This adjusts the volume etc, and can be saved in a panel memory with your other settings.

Bernie

the midi switch on bass scans the channels and should pick up the input automatically, just re-boot the 7k to reset the midi (midi in is disabled in this mode). In the sound menu you can also press 'Mixer' and then 'Other Parts' on the panel to get the bass pedal controls for fine tuning of the sound, pan, reverb, effects, equaliser, key shift etc and some basic editing of the bass pedal voice.

Hi everyone.
Thanks for your input on Midi pedals. Does anyone know if the Roland PK7 (or other) will allow the footswitches(which are part of the pedalboard) to operate the fill-inn and Rhythm's ON-OFF, on the 7000??.
Thanks
Chris.

This is what Fran was referring to. I use the 4 switch from Technics. As Fran says, you can also use one or two singles, and program them for fills, intros, etc. These are for the automated functions. The midi pedalboard is for playing bass notes.

IF... the switches come out as 1/4in sockets on the back of the pedals it would be a question of two short 1/4in jack to jack leads to footswitch 1 and 2 sockets on the back of the 7k. You would need to check the switches are normally closed - o/c to operate. Then the switch functions can be set and kept in the 7k menu.
