Hey: First of all, thanks to those who helped me setup my foot controller switches. A little from each one of you did the trick. Now, I want to copy the song files from one floppy to another. Now that I have changed my settings, I have more room for more song files. So, I want to know if it is possible to copy files from one disc to another. The copy utility only lets me copy to another part on the disc.

Hi,

Assuming I've read your query correctly and, assuming you've probably got a PC running Windows, there's a very easy answer.

Lets start at the beginning:

1 - You have two disks; one with data / music on, and one that's blank / formatted.
2 - Right-click anywhere on your computers desktop and select 'New' then 'Folder' and give it a decent name.
3 - (Assuming '98, ME or XP); Using Windows Explorer copy and paste the data from the original floppy to the folder.
4 - Replace the original with the blank floppy and then copy and paste the data in the folder back to the floppy drive.

All being well, that's about it. I don't know which 'board you've got so I'm assuming that it also has a standard 1.44Mb HD floppy drive.

Hi Mike.
If you copy files from different diskettes into the folder as described
abowe, just remember to rename the files who starts with the same digit.
I.e. if you copy song #2 from two disks, then you have to rename to i.e.
01 at the start of the filename for the files from one of the diskettes
before copy to a new diskette.
If two songs start with the same digits, your KN will not find both.
