Hello from Adelaide, Australia everyone.

I play my k7000 at returned service clubs etc. with my vocalist friend who waves the microphone around in the air like a praying mantis, causing feedback problems with the on board speakers. Explaining the problem to him only produces short term relief. Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can isolate the on board speakers and rely on the external speakers.

Regards Alan

Hi Alan

I simply run the vocal into my mixer and out to the external speakers. You could put a 1/4 plug into the headphone jack as well.

Hi Alan,

To turn off the internal speakers in the KN7000 select Program Menus, Sound, Monitor Setting, Off. Output is still available from the external speakers.

Cheers

I'm of the older school, would not put a jack into the headphone socket without a dummy load on it. Walter.

I have also used this approach with earlier keyboards without problems but there is no need to use a plug in the headphone socket with the KN7000 (see my earlier post)

Hi All
Len's method is the one that I use with external speakers. I feel that if the facility is provided by the KN7000 then it's probably best to use it.
Whenever the monitor is set to off - it displays 'monitor off' on the screen. However, once the KN7000 has been switched off it defaults back to the internal speakers being switched on.

Thank you John and everyone else for your help, I am surprised at the response, this group is quite unique, I hope it continues to operate for quite some time.

Best regards

Alan
