I suggest you take a serious look at some of the new soft synths and keyboards. That machine will run just about as many voices as you can possible play. Check out the demos for Ivory (for killer grand pianos), BFD for drums, GIGA Scarbee for basses (and many other things), StylusRMX for loops, Garritan Personal Orchestra (for, well, you guessed it!) if you can't afford the VSL library.

Many of these wonderful sample libraries are 30GB or more. You can fill up a HD quick like that...!
