Truth is, Deane's idea of assigning 1 voice to each of 8 buttons on the A800 is a good one, for this reason. Most people don't use more than 8 RH voices during the course of a night in LIVE GIGING. I only play organ on gigs and I normally only use about 4 voices + bass, 2 on upper, 2 on right-split lower, bass on left-split lower (duplicated on pedals). If I were live-gigging an arranger, I'm sure I'd probably only use piano, organ, guitar, and sax or flute, for RH voices; maybe an occassional brass stab if playing in a band. Personally, I think a performance list is the way to go (with custom performances with pre-assigned voices, and a one-touch system for your controller to call them up. This seems like the easiest route to me. I haven't thought this all the way through 'cause my wife is calling me to watch TV. Sweentech1, can you follow through on this approach .
