If I connect both my Bose L1 Compacts to the module the sound is pretty darn good. Anyone know why this would happen? Using both compacts on most of my gigs is overkill.

Deane sound like your having Stereo phase issues as I suspect thats the way most of the styles were created to be played in Stereo. Summing the signals can effect the Stereo sound it was intended to be heard. You might have to use the one L/mono out to the Bose and accept the sound loss vs Stereo...are yo using a Y plug in your other hook up you stated also. Or have you tried using a Mixer ?
